Two decades of HMI experience

Beijer Electronics has two decades of accumulated experience in HMI. This has given us deep knowledge of the demands placed on operator terminals in global markets. The result is unique products with high quality and functionality.

Our products are sold worldwide through experienced partners. Besides offering the products, our partners also offer support, training, and service.

Milestones

1986

The first operator terminal MAC-G is released. This terminal is a hand-held terminal with a text display.

1988
Two new models are released.

1990
The first terminal in a new product range is introduced, the MAC 50F. This product range is based on a new concept with a focus on user-friendliness and easy programming.

1990-1994
The MAC series is expanded with five more terminals ranging from small text displays to the first terminal with a graphic display, the MAC 90. The programming software is now Windows-based.

1996
The development starts on a new product range for a brand-label customer. This product range is under continuous development. It currently includes twelve terminals and is sold world wide.

1999
The CIMREX series of operator terminals is released.Beijer Electronics Inc. is founded; the office is located in Schaumburg, USA.

2000
Beijer Electronics is the first HMI supplier to introduce terminals with web functionality. The terminals can now send e-mail and be monitored and controlled via intranet and Internet. An additional brand-label agreement with a new customer is signed.

2001
Multi-language
support is added, which makes it possible for the operator to switch language whilst the terminal is running.

Dual driver support means the terminal can communicate with two different types of automation equipment and act as a gateway. A new brand-label agreement is signed with a major automation supplier. Beijer Electronics GmbH is founded; the office is located inStuttgart, Germany. The new PC-based HMI system CEZAR is released.

2002
Beijer Electronics OPC Server is released. An additional US office is opened in Los Angeles, USA.

2003
Two new brand-label agreements are signed.The CIMREX series of operator terminals is extended by two new terminals; the series now includes 13 terminals.Tetra Pak and Beijer Electronics sign a general agreement regarding supplying operator terminals.

2004
A new brand-label agreement is signed.

EXTER, a new series of five operator terminals is released. The series is awarded with iF product design award 2005.

2005
Beijer Electronics acquires Hitech Electronics Corp, a Taiwanese-based company that develops and sells HMI.

A new series of operator terminals, the H-series is launched.

Six new operator terminals in the EXTER series are released. Beijer Electronics wins the 2005 HMI Hardware Vendor Award

2006
EXTER K30 is awarded with iF product design award 2006.
